Welcome to Emergency Ride Home on-line for York University employees! The Emergency Ride Home program helps you to ‘smart commute’ to work, while resting assured that your ride home is covered when the unexpected arises. Perhaps your carpool partner has an emergency and can’t drive you home, or you need to respond to an important family matter that came up suddenly during your work day. In case of an emergency, your ride home via transit, taxi or car rental will be reimbursed by Smart Commute – North Toronto, Vaughan (NTV) - up to 4 times/year, at up to $40 per ride. As a York University employee, you are eligible for the program if you ‘smart commute’ to work, by carpool, transit, cycling or walking, at least 3 days per week. Click here to register for free and fill out your profile. You will receive a Welcome Package by mail from Smart Commute NTV with more information on how to use the program. Don’t forget to keep your profile up to date! Have you registered for the Carpool Zone? You can use your Carpool Zone email and PIN to use Emergency Ride Home on-line.
